Racial Freedom Poem
I wish the world would shine,
like the colours of the word vegetation;
green, black, white, yellow, brown …,
symbolises beauty as a feature of creation.
I wish that slavery and racism was unborn,
but colours in nature living in fraternity and harmony.
And as different flowers in the forest blossom,
a marvel of the maker’s creation,
And just as we adore and pick them,
excitingly to donate a little affection,
should we accept the world as the same;
and not the same at the same time.
But to look for our freedom,
which is just the gap in between.
